What the PFP Offers
The Personal Faith Program offers four distinct workshops for individual spiritual development in a group setting. The program offers retreats for church officers.
The PFP offers a full range of pastoral services to you when you choose Dr. Dykes as your personal pastor.
- Personal spiritual counseling. Sometimes you need to sit with a theological professional and reflect privately on what you believe and don't believe. Since all psychological counseling and therapy is incomplete without a belief system, this one-to-one time may be the piece that makes possible your complete transition.
- General pastoral services. Dr. Dykes calls on the phone and makes personal visits to encourage you in your spiritual journey. He prays with and for you, especially upon your request. Wedding and funeral services are provided. Referrals are made to the best physical and mental healthcare professionals in the area. Dr. Dykes also visits in hospitals when participants inform him of their hospitalization.
- Small group gatherings. Participants in the Oklahoma City area gather in a home on weekday evenings for religious information-sharing on a variety of subjects. The major purpose of this sharing time is to help you build your theology in a form that functions for you and provides you with your unique identity.
- Pastoral care in the major crises of life. Dr. Dykes is available to be with you in emergency life situations, around the clock and seven days a week. In the worst of times, you may need a trusted, caring and non-judging pastor to be with you.
- Theological writings. Dr. Dykes produces short articles on pertinent matters of theology. So far, he has written five books and edited two booklets, with other books in progress. The articles are distributed to you by fax, e-mail, regular mail, or personal delivery. These articles and books encourage you to think about your faith.
